This Cookie Policy explains how VILSMART Enterprises LLC (“VILSMART,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on vilsmarts.com (the “Website”). Read this Policy together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a website is used. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and tokens. They can support functions such as keeping a user signed in, maintaining a secure session, remembering preferences, preventing fraud, and processing requests.
2. Cookies We Currently Use
First-party cookies and duration
VILSMART uses an authentication cookie to maintain account sign-in and a cookie named VilSmart.Antiforgery to help protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Session cookies normally last for a browser session; browser session-restoration settings may preserve them. Choosing “Remember me” at sign-in can keep an authentication cookie after you close your browser, until it expires or is removed. Actual expiry information is available in your browser’s cookie settings.
Strictly necessary and security technologies
The Website may use essential cookies or similar technologies to:
- Create and maintain authenticated sessions.
- Support registration, email verification, sign-in, sign-out, and account security.
- Remember temporary choices needed to complete forms or requests.
- Prevent cross-site request forgery, fraud, automated abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Route traffic, balance system load, diagnose errors, and maintain reliable operation.
- Preserve a limited preference or consent choice where implemented.
These technologies are required for core Website functions. Disabling them may prevent account, upload, appointment, project, or payment features from working properly.
Payment-provider technologies
Stripe’s payment software is loaded across the Website, so a connection to Stripe can occur before you open a payment form. Stripe controls the lifetime and use of its own security and payment technologies. Read Stripe’s Privacy Policy and Stripe’s Cookie Policy.
When you use payment features, Stripe or another disclosed payment provider may use cookies or similar technologies for transaction processing, authentication, fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Those technologies are controlled by the payment provider and are also governed by its privacy and cookie notices.
Analytics and advertising
VILSMART records first-party page visits on its server using the visitor’s network IP address; this does not use an analytics cookie. A new IP address is sent to IPWhois.io for an approximate city and country lookup. This record is used to count repeat visits and is visible to authorized Super Administrators. We do not use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel, third-party behavioral advertising cookies, or cookies to build advertising profiles or serve targeted advertisements across unrelated websites. See the Privacy Policy for details about visitor records.
3. Cookie Categories
| Category | Purpose | Current status |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Authentication, sessions, security, fraud prevention, forms, routing, and core operation. | Used where needed |
| Functional | Remembering optional preferences or user choices. | May be used where implemented |
| Analytics | First-party IP-based visit counts and approximate location; city and country are looked up by IPWhois.io. | Used without an analytics cookie |
| Advertising | Cross-site advertising, remarketing, or behavioral profiling. | Not currently used |
4. Your Choices
Open your browser’s settings and look for privacy, site data, or cookies. Search for vilsmarts.com to inspect or remove this site’s stored data. Review third-party entries separately. Removing a cookie from one browser or device does not remove it from another, and deleting cookies does not delete your VILSMART account or project records. To request account or record deletion, follow the Privacy Policy request process.
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. You may also clear local or session storage. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, account security, file uploads, payments, or other requested functionality. Because VILSMART does not currently use nonessential behavioral analytics or advertising cookies, the Website may not display a separate advertising-cookie preference tool at this time. If nonessential tracking is introduced, we will update this Policy and implement appropriate notice and choice mechanisms.
5. Do Not Track and Browser Signals
Browser-based privacy signals are evolving. Because the Website does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising or analytics tools, it does not presently alter core operation in response to a “Do Not Track” signal. We will evaluate legally recognized preference signals if our practices change or applicable law requires a response.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, vendors, legal requirements, or Website features change. The revised version will display a new “Last updated” date. The software configuration should be reviewed whenever a new integration, analytics service, embedded tool, advertising feature, or payment provider is introduced.
